design plays of the similar forms of the p and d within an isometric axon. the p and d are the same unit, just flipped 180 degrees giving the design a dynamic three dimensional quality.

i am an architecture student, not a graphic designer. thus, my rendering capabilities are somewhat limited.... (perhaps this could be another aspect of your site? it would be a great opportunity to collaborate with a graphic designer. designers from varying backgrounds could come together to create fresh dialogues.) obviously, these designs would need another level of work, but i decided to submit them anyways...
my design is a single isometric module that can be read as a p or d depending on its orientation. i tend to think of the logo as a single efficient unit (perhaps, it could even be used singularly at times without its reversed counterpart). put in a pair, it is dynamic. the bending depth created by the reversal is visually playfull, and the many arrangements between the two is almost like a game (for promotional materials, you could send two stickers of the individual units, which could then be arranged at will by the user). i have attached one colored version, a diagram of the form generation and arrangement possibilities, and an easier to read (but i feel less clever) logo that puts the p and d in the same vector. i also attached a logo past the deadline that bevels a few of the edges... i appologize for the poor rasterized quality and hasty graphics in general. consider this a mock-up... |

inserted with some text...
might try it without the black outlines, replacing it with negative space. |
