My logo needs a face-lift. Do you have what it takes?

Detailed Requirements

My logo needs a little work. It was a logo that my father used for his business, but he sold that off and they don't use the logo, so I'd like to use it for my dental practice.

I basically want the same design, only touched up a bit. I don't want to stifle possible creativity, so please feel free to make any changes, but I would like to see the current version cleaned up as well as any diversions from the original design.

I've attached the original logo from my father's company as well as one I fixed with the correct company name (done in MS Paint).

The correct company name is Rayburn General Dentistry. Let's update the font, but make sure it looks good with the symbol.

As you will notice, the files are really small. I need to be able to put this logo on a billboard, so please make sure the logo is designed in a way that can be scaled to any size, (.AI Preferred).

Must have updated font and the symbol of the tree and water need to be dressed up to look a little more stylish, yet keep the same country feel to them.

Must Have Nots

I do not want a tooth in the logo. This is a small town dental practice and I don't want there to be a commercialized tooth in there. Too many dental offices have a tooth in their logo.

Dental Patients - We want to attract more!

Color Preferences

Current colors are fine, but feel free to change if it will add visual appeal - nothing too extreme

All, Thank you so much for the fine entries! This is amazingly difficult to judge to say the least. You all are talented! Here's my reaction after seeing so many great designs and concepts: I do like the non-pine tree entries, but since this community is built around the biggest man-made lake in Texas and is in the middle of the piney woods, I am more drawn towards the pine tree type styles. Please cater to that style and I feel we'll be in good shape. Thanks again!

Man! There are some amazing designs and designers here! Thank you all for working on this. I can tell it will be a tough choice when the contest is through. Thank you all for staying true to the guidelines I asked for, as well as for "branching" out and letting me see some more creative designs. This is a lot of fun!
