Work For Savvy, Well-Known Clients – Graphic Design Tip #26
This post is an expansion of tip #26 in our post 101 Graphic Design Tips for Business Success.
Choose Your Clients Wisely!

Clients who have connections with a lot of businesses and business people can have a tremendous impact on you and your business…hopefully, because you’re doing good things. This will be a potential referral source for more work. Remember to do your best work always and you will go far.
As people understand and respect a brand, they also will respect and trust the people associated with a good brand or company. Choose your network and clients wisely; it will lead you to great opportunities that will likely be a good fit. It can also speak volumes about you and the caliber of work you are capable of.
Well-Known Clients=Recognition

A well-known client with a good reputation can be an amazing ally. They can refer you to new clients, lend authenticity to your skills, and keep you informed as to current trends in business that may affect you. There is usually a good reason that people are well-known either because they have an excellent product, great customer service, excellent marketing, or are simply a great salesman. Guilty by association might not be a bad thing here.
This is simply another way for people to make an informed decision about hiring you. Also the position they hold and the bigger the industry they are in, the wider the network. If it s a person that you have heard of, it will trigger an instant recognition when associated with your name.
Keep your savvy clients happy and they will be willing to bring you along for a long, successful ride.
