$5,000 – For a Logo Design?
So, you’re wondering why anyone in their right mind would pay $5,000 for a logo design!!! We at ThePerfectDesign.com understand that, in most cases, graphic designers make anywhere from $150 and even up to $1500 on a logo design; the average being around $300. But, we also know that “you get what you pay for” and we’re looking for THE PERFECT DESIGN for ThePerfectDesign.com. That’s why we’re willing to pay over 16 times the average amount of a good quality logo design to get the best design, The Perfect Design.
We believe there is a logo out there (in someone’s brain) that truly meets our needs, and know that we will find it if we can draw from the talents and inspiration of thousands, and hundreds of thousands, of graphic designers all over the world. We’re excited about the traffic we’ve seen already and the buzz that this contest has generated so far! We are sooo looking forward to seeing the end result.
Be sure to stay posted on the event by pre-registering at ThePerfectDesign.com. Not only are we giving the winner $5,000, but we’re giving away much, much more. Don’t delay, the contest is right around the corner!
Happy designing,

$5000 is a good bill for logo design but I don’t think it will be worth it for you. No matter how ‘perfect’ the design of the logo is, if you slap it on top of a poorly designed website or letter-head it’s still going to suck… all $5,000 of it. You ought to put down more dollars, hire a firm and dial in a complete identity… The firm you hire should be involved with every aspect of everything that is presented to the public audience. That will be worth it in the long run and carry your brand.
toodles,
Dylan

Hi
“When it starts with a dot,
and ends with a lot.
When it it starts with a penny,
and raises its worth to many.
When it leaves the competition drown,
adding another feather in your crown.
When it shows simplicity and design,
forcing the egony and jealousy to resign.
When it is dedicated to the Divine,
THEN CAN I SAY IT’s A PERFECT DESIGN.”
I truly wish to have an acknowledgement/comment for these few on-the-spot, written lines for your respectable brand.

i don’t know but i think this is just marketing strategy. you want to bring in visitors to your site, then bring on the gimmick. who knows the folks here just want to collect the ideas but in the end, someone from their wing will win the prize. or someone really capable of doing the “perfect design” just collates ideas and gets declared as the winner. similar to how simulated contracts go about. this “contest” is being advertised well and that alone can make you doubt stuff.
sorry, just messing things a little:)
i’m not really being serious.
great contest!
just being a little silly here.
Conspiracy Theorist,
It’s true, it is a marketing strategy… The neat thing about it is that it won’t cost graphic designers a penny.
We have some great things coming up that we’re excited to tell you and those who may have the same questions and concerns as you have. Please stay tuned to what all the fuss is about. We thank you for your post!
Happy designing!

“the talents and inspiration of thousands, and hundreds of thousands, of graphic designers all over the world..” so you will be receiving thousands, and hundreds of thousands of logo ideeas .. just for $5,000.. I believe that this is what you are going for.. Right?
Thadia,
You are correct. We’re excited about our logo design contest and the synergy it will bring. We’re already seeing the primary effects of it. Thank you so much for clarifying. We’re looking forward to seeing your designs!
ThePerfectDesign.com Team
I would love to participate!!!
I am happy to see creative groups such as yourself extending constructive engagement and recognition for their creative counterparts strenghtning this profession’s scope and significance in this competitive and rather cut-and-dry commercial market.
Thanks,
Monisha
I am a designer and have been designing for 4 years now. I work with heavy metal bands specializing in extreme heavy metal, one of the biggest names I’ve worked for is Annotations of An Autopsy. I think with the perfect design the 5 grand would definitely be worth it and i understand the urge to obtaining that “perfect” Design.
I have make logos for some small company and their website, i can tell that design logo is challenge coz logo is the first thing company owner think about after their name.
Have you ever name your new baby, it’s hard right? finding the for company it’s not easy too and design logo 10 times harder, when i design logo i have to talk many many time with the owner not just to understand what they want also to understand what other people (their customer, their partner) feel about company.
I haven’t won any competition event the small one, I hope i can put name on the prize of The Perfect Design Logo design contest. But firstly i thanks that i know The Perfect Design here i can learn from other designer and share my thought “sharing is caring” and of course because of $5000 too.
Hi
Thanx for the appreciation for my lines. I very much look forward for further contest details.
i think its very useful for my career
Hi, there.
It’s quite amazing to join this 5k logo contest. It’s a lot of money you spend to have a ‘perfect logo’ for this site. And it’s our challenge (we, designer) to put a line about a’ perfect logo’ it is. Maybe, it’s only a word or symbol or icon or just a scrath from nowhere. Anyway, I can not wait to see a design brief from you. And when will be announced?
The use of logos as a business tool dates back as far as ancient Greece. Maybe, even further back than this. Traders and merchants initially used them so that they would be easily recognized. Today they have a similar meaning. Logos have also been used extensively in the past on trademarks. If we go back as far as the 13th Century we will see that many trademarks from noble trades such as Gold Smiths, Paper Makers, Printers and even the Nobility of the time were used to state quality of merchandise or just plain quality. The logo was usually stamped on to the product or displayed as a watermark. Today a trademark or business logo is used as the pinnacle of your business. It says everything about your company. It says that you belong in the corporate world and in that world you have an identity and that identity represents quality.
Design my addiction. Every contest my working sharpness. But any prize I granted.
This prize is more attractive.
With Thanks
SAMIR BAUL

hehehe….
This is a good one, I believe it’s not all about the “5K” contest. An opportunity for graphics designers to express themselves in what the are good at, making waves in their design fields and determining their future ahead.
Many thanks to “ThePerfectDesign”. I’m very interested this vision, please keep me updated.

You are certainly paying more than the usual run-of-the-mill offers and you deserve credit for that. But when you say “why anyone in their right mind would pay $5000″, then Steve Jobs must have been a lunatic! I read the story that when he had to move out of Apple, he floated NeXT COMPUTERS and Paul Rand reportedly charged $100,000 to create that company’s identity. Of course, Mr. Rand submitted a 100-page brochure to explain the details and people will say that Paul Rand was Paul Rand!
Mmm… 5k …is this what motivates designers? Apparently, yes. Is this what leads to good design? I don’t think so. Anyway, the challenge is there, for us and especially for you, who will have to choose. I’m looking forward for your(our) perfect design adventure!
i am a web designer or graphic designer i love art & i want to create something new in a designing world ..i want to show my work everyone .. please help me and i want to have my name & fame in this field.

This comment by makes sense and the first thought that ran thru my mind was – it should be a Perfect Brand Contest rather than just a logo. You can’t just incorporate a great looking piece of artwork to a place where its not suitable. Can’t put Ferrari tires on Prius, can you?
Yes its a good / attractive number of bills but again, being professional on a certain level, I still believe the designer must do the entire Identity project rather than just one piece of it.
i wil try my best for logo contest this is interesting idea
an opportunity for graphic designers to show them
@DotsLinkerLLC
DotsLinkerLLC,
You are so right! The site needs a little bit of an overhaul, doesn’t it? We’ll post some pictures, soon, of what the real site will look like (it’s in development)…minus the logo…but it’s coming, right?
We’re looking forward to your participation in our contest!

Too late, the perfect design for a logo is taken. the golden M
mmmm mmm mmm mac time.
This is a great opportunity for us (graphic designer all over the world) to show our creativity. Let’s do our best for this contest.
I’m sorry to say that $5000 for a logo is not all that high. Many design firms and established designers would charge that amount for a well thought-out logo. Unfortunately the internet is now crowded with people offering to do logos for $50, and this is just plain insulting to graphic designers. Good luck on your contest though. Due to the economy, I’m sure that you’ll get lots of submissions (I’m betting most of them won’t be all that great though)
Hi,
My name is Sachet. I want to register for the Logo Design contest but couldn’t find any link on your website. Has the registration began yet?
Do let me know. I will surely register, design a logo for you and try my luck
Hi, Sachet!
Pre-registration can be done on the home page. We haven’t begun official registration for the contest, but we will be posting that very soon.
We appreciate your questions,
ThePerfectDesign.com Team
well, i guess this will be great … i am looking for a start myself and i think this can be a good competition to get started with. just that i am still to fully understand the process…
