Vito Yepthomi – Graphic Designer SpotLight

Vito Yepthomi
Presently I’m in Bangalore doing my mass communication (post graduate). I grew up in a small town in Nagaland, one of the north eastern states of India.
Since my child hood, I was into painting and sketching. As I grew older I realized I had potential in me to make this a career. My friends and family also encouraged and helped me to where I am now. That’s how I got started into Graphic Design
I do not do corporate but I do freelance. I love being a freelancer as I am on my own.
My favorite part of being in Graphic Design, I’m able to enhance my art work thus giving a better appeal to the mass.
As of now I would like to design for the ‘Campus Rock Show’. Since I’m new into the field I haven’t gotten an opportunity to design for a big event quite yet. I have done it for our college fest called “FOOTPRINTS” for 2008 & 2009. It is a very big event in terms of college standard.
The only business advice I can give is to “Never ever copy or rework others creation”. Ultimately you will be the loser at the end.
If I had to pick one individual who has helped me, that would be my brother. He is also a very good artist, and it’s his art work that really inspired me.
When I get designers block or need to spark creativity I always keep it simple and ideas start to flow in continuously.
Other than design I enjoy my course which is photography. I also like advertising and movies.
I see myself in the future becoming the no-1 graphic designer in the world.
Thank you,
Vito Yepthomi
