Pooja Puthran – Graphic Designer SpotLight
ThePerfectDesign.com Team,
Here are the answers to your questions:

Pooja Puthran
I am from India, state-(Maharashtra), city-(Mumbai).I was born and brought up in Mumbai.
I was always into creative stuffs right from my childhood like crafts work experience, drawing etc.., I just had in my mind after growing up I want to get into some creative field. I then was able to get into Graphic Design. Like others, I never wanted to be a doctor or engineer. Then slowly after my graduation in Mass Media I got to know about web and graphic designs in the advertising industry and slowly made my mind towards the field. Then my soul said to me ‘Pooja this is your cup of tea go for it’ and today here I am. In short I have converted my hobby into my profession, and today I am happy for making that decision. My family & my close friends & loved ones have given me full support to help with my inspiration. God is also Great, he has always been with me through the start and all ups and downs of my career.
Yes I work as a full time Web Designer for corporate and also do freelancing during leisure time. Designing is my passion and yes I love my job because it gives me satisfaction and more than a salary or money. The credit which you get for your work like for Example- “This logo is designed by Pooja.” WOW..!! It feels great.
Because I am basically a Web graphic Designer my favorite part of graphic design is designing websites and logos etc….
I don’t have anybody such in mind for whom I wish to design, but ya if I get an opportunity to design for a big brand and where I will get good exposure I will happily accept it. I have designed logos, sites, applications in the companies I have worked for. I am a registered user of (99designs.com) You guys can check out my portfolio here. http://99designs.com/people/poo
Message to my peers would be, Be the way you are, never be artificial or do not get carried away. It will always help you in your personal and professional life. And as far as designing is concerned, always listen to your mind and heart rather than that of others, this will always help to develop your confidence level. This is what I have learned from my experience.
Designing tips were always given to me by my colleagues and seniors, but there is no such person who actually sat with me day and night and helped me get through. It was my own grasping power and passion which got me till here.
Yes, sometimes it is very difficult to get creative things out. For me, during such times I take a break and refresh myself or do something else other than designing. And while designing something creative, I always make sure that it is simple and easy to read and understand. Simplicity is what I follow in my designs.
Apart from Designing, I like music so I prefer listening to my favorite songs if not designing…..
My biggest goal is to design and work for great brands in the world and to be one of the successful creative designer. This would be my ultimate accomplishment.
It was really a pleasure answering these questions and I really thank the PerfectDesign Team for giving me this chance to appear on their blog and share my knowledge.
Thank you once again.
Regards,
Pooja Puthran
