Perseverant Graphic Designer
This post is an expansion of tip #56 in our post 101 Graphic Design Tips for Business Success.
Just Keep Going

Perseverance covers more than just being immune to rejection, and cold calling. It also means that when you feel the burden of losing a couple big deals and are short on money, or, maybe there’s just a dry spell in a down economy… you keep going.
It can be frustrating to feel that you are toiling in unfertile soil. Even if you don’t see the benefits now you are planting seeds that can be harvested at a later date. Don’t write people off because they have become dormant or worry about projects that have been lost. This kind of dwelling only thwarts recovery. Look forward to the future and know that good things lie ahead. The world is a benevolent place and will naturally right itself in time.
Abundance In The World

It might sound child-like to believe in abundance in the world. It doesn’t hurt to believe it either. The work is out there and if you will it and work for it hard enough – it will come. It might not come on command, but it will come when you need it the most. Try new things and approach projects with a different attitude if you feel that you have been stuck in a rut. Maintaining originality will keep you upbeat through the toughest times and inspire the people around you.
As long as you’re adequately marketing yourself and doing quality work, there will be an influx of business ahead. Keep it up and don’t stop being productive. Remember that just because you might be doing something, doesn’t mean that you’re being productive in your business. Be creative and do things that other designers aren’t doing to set you apart. Make sure everything you do is productive and PERSEVERE!
