Determine The Factors That Adds Potential Revenue

If you can afford to work on a high-profile low-budget project – take it. This might open up many doors that wouldn’t have otherwise been available to you. The new yoga studio up the street has been getting a lot of local buzz but doesn’t have enough revenue coming in yet to pay you big bucks for an ad. Look at it as a chance to get into the city’s weekly publication. The publication is likely to be seen by many potential clients and grant easy recognition for your work. It is also a fun and eye-catching subject for your portfolio. These factors add up to potential revenue down the road.

Take Graphic Design Opportunities Wisely

Take Graphic Design Opportunities Wisely - ThePerfectDesign
The wonderful thing about being a designer is that you have the choice of what you want to work on. Some work might not be rewarded with money but through recognition and creative freedom. At first glance you might be tempted to pass on these opportunities for projects worth more dough. Not so fast. Some small budget projects might be worth it if there is potential for a lot of press. Put your name on it!

Just like every project you consider, be thoughtful and selective. It should be mutually beneficial to both parties. You could get burned if you end up with a client that takes advantage of your generosity. If a small price-tag project is eating up all of your time with frivolous edits and nit picking don’t be afraid to cut it off. No matter what the circumstances, you can’t afford to be undervalued and unappreciated.
