Irvan Haryanto – Indonesia

I started working as Graphics Designer in 1995. I currently work in a printing house in Bandung. I have worked for a lot of different companies until recently.

When I was younger, I just loved to draw. Then I started learning to use drawing software like Corel Draw. In the meantime, I worked with someone else I had been referred to. Now, I am inspired by Mr. Neville Brody’s, Mr. Minalle’s, and Mr. M. Escher’s work.

Basically, art is my passion. I love graphics. I also enjoy music.

In my country, the market is doing well and advertising is important right now.

The Internet has definitely helped me as a graphic designer. There’s a lot of new market here. I am able to access information, as well as find more references.

For me, a self-taught graphic designer, crowdsourcing is an opportunity. I have learned much from internet, books, and other designers.
