Andy Kearns – Graphic Designer SpotLight
Dear ThePerfectDesign.com Team, hope you’re all well and not too cold up there!

Andy Kearns
I grew up in Christchurch, New Zealand.
I started an apprenticeship straight after high school. I used to draw and cut things out when I was young, but I’ve always loved art/creativity.
I do both freelance work and corporate. I love the creative process itself…finding something within yourself.
My Favorite part or aspect of Graphic Design is Creating something printable, (worthy of printing) from thin air.
If I had one opportunity to do work for an event I would probably like to work on a wildlife/environmental event. If something I’ve created could inspire/change someone’s thinking into something positive, then it was a success. Recently, I collaborated with a New Zealand sculptor on her latest project. Excellent experience for me, as sculptors see/create things differently from graphic designers.
All I can say as a piece of advice is, if you don’t try, you’ll never know.
Martin Hook, my old English boss, during my apprenticeship helped shape my graphic design career. He showed me how pages all fit together like a jig-saw puzzle. It’s just you’ve got to create the jigsaw puzzle first!
I use music to help with writers block. Nature is incredible…all the colors, all the shapes of nature. They help spark my creativity.
Other than graphic design I love Music. I play guitar and try to write songs, when time permits. Also Life’s exciting because I’ve just launched my own website and this means huge changes can take place! Even down here in Kiwiland I can still be seen.
One day in the future I see myself running a very successful graphic design company from where ever I choose.
Once again, thanks for this opportunity and please stay in touch.
Sincerely,
Andy Kearns, Graffects

Create the next level with a memorable logo.
A logo crosses all culture and boundaries, communicate words, ideas and speak about what kind of company you are. Though a logo is
small but creates a huge impact on the image of your company. Some logos are so powerful that they become universally known as
symbols. Logo gives your firm an identity and helps customers recognize your particular product thereby reducing your selling effort
and costs. Take examples like McDonalds, IBM, Coca-Cola, Microsoft, Nokia, Toyota, etc. A logo builds the firms image and also helps
to add prestige to the product or service which allows the firm to charge slightly higher price. In fact on paper almost all of the
firms are same so what makes them unique?
